Our first Christmas at home

This was the first year we celebrated Christmas at our own house. It was nice to be in comfortable surroundings, especially since we were just a few days clear of the stomach flu. Mom and Pete came over Christmas Eve afternoon and stayed the night with us. We has a great time together.

Benjamin was totally into it and got the idea about ripping paper. He was pretty cute. Although still freaking grumpy! This has been a tough week. I think he has three upper teeth on the move and he is just very fussy. Even KinderCare, who usually absolutely loves him, was mentioning how impossible he was. (Thankfully, a week later, he is back to his old happy self.)

Benjamin got some pretty neat gifts this year. Thanks to all our friends and family for their generosity.

Now for the pictures....

Interesting things happen to the camera when left in the cold car overnight....Some toys are so touching because they are made with the time, energy, and sweat of our dear family members like this bank Pappy (Grandpa Hennan) made Benjamin. And others we love, but can be a little scary and overwhelming at first. It is tough being a kid....

Don't leave your camera in your car while you're up here then - mine is completely dead! I'm afraid for my dear iPod's life as well.....
Nice work on that spinach, buddy!
