I just got off the phone with Paul who was working for Comcast in a trailer park today doing something up on a pole and a elderly lady started yelling for help. Turns out she came out to get her trash can and saw a person in a neighbor’s backyard who was face down and not responding to her shouts. She called for Paul’s help and he ran down there while she was on the phone with 911. He turned the guy over and he was blue with foam in his mouth and had a large gash on his forehead. He didn’t have a pulse. Paul started CPR and continued for several minutes until the cops finally arrived (they went to the wrong house first!). When the paramedics got there, they took over and shocked the guy several times, eventually getting a pulse back. Paul may have saved him! Paul thought the guy had a squished bee on him, so it could have been a severe allergy. We may never know, I suppose. Paul is head of the safety committee at work and now he can fully justify why he rides everyone to keep up their safety stuff!
I am so proud of him!
